Chinese New Year

Celebrating the “Year of the Snake”

Symbolic Menu Specials: February 8-10
Guests are invited to celebrate Chinese New Year all weekend-long with menu specials sure to put you in the festive spirit. Partners Ed Culleeney and Shawn Li have created dishes that are traditionally feasted on during the holiday along with their symbolic significance.

Traditional Chinese Lion Dance: Saturday, February 9th
The Chinese Lion dance is said to bring happiness and luck and scare off any evil. Guests will witness the spread of fortune and wealth when the Chicago Chinese Cultural Center performers present the sacred tradition. The dance begins at 6:30 p.m.

Feeling Lucky Weekend: Friday February 8th, Saturday February 9th & Sunday February 10th
The number eight is significant in the Chinese culture because when translated it sounds like “good luck.” Join us Saturday and Sunday and guests will receive lucky red envelopes, traditionally given to children from their parents for good luck, with a chance to win PL8 gift certificates and a special dinner for 8 people. In addition to the red envelopes, Sunday, any guests born in the “Year of Snake” will receive $8 off their final bill.
